My skill is based in hand drawn sketches. I have a lot to learn with digital illustration and spent most of my time testing ideas before falling in love with a single brush that felt authentic. 

It went from a rough hand drawn sketch, through a comic debaser kit from True Grit Texture Supply and finally settled on this painterly digital style. 

As I struggled with colour, I found a great reference for a warm palette eyedropped from Netflix Love, Death + Robots Season 3 ep, The Very Pulse of the Machine. 

It also helped to visualise a futuristic visor for the Bub, as if they are waiting on the sun before they visit Earth.
