I loved working on this project! When the client contacted me for this concept we were in the first week of Stage 4 lockdown in Victoria. There were so many hurdles to consider when discussing art supplies and work permits. However the simple act of drawing the word thank you was something I couldn’t pass up. Not only was it a message for the employees of the store, I felt like I was sending a message to the entire world. I booked my little brother as my painters assistant, and managed to have an amazing 6 hours with him, even while wearing masks and knee deep in chalk! To all those facing patients and customers during this pandemic: You are absolute superstars!
